The Impressionist artist, Claude Monet, is celebrated as one of the greatest geniuses of colour and light. This one-day workshop run by, John Kennedy, will give you a greater understanding of how Monet’s ‘Lilies’ were created, along with other insights into his techniques. John will take you through the history, colours and materials Monet used, helping you create your own masterpiece during the workshop.

Details | What do I need to bring? Paint brushes: (hogs hair) a combination of flat, filbert and round brushes. No need for small brushes. Size 8-10 would be ideal. Paint colours (in your choice of oils or acrylic): Cadmium Yellow, Alizarin Crimson, Ultramarine Blue, Emerald Green and Titanium White. A primed canvas: You can choose your own size and dimensions. Lunch: Tea and coffee will be provided, but please bring your lunch (scheduled for 12:30-1:00pm). Note on safety: it is important you do not bring along any mediums with fumes, such as turps.
