Times: Wednesday 9:30am -12:00pm; 6:30pm-9:00pm
Demonstration classes are structured. Each class begins with a demonstration and informed discussion, exploring the diverse techniques of the old and new masters. In the past, demonstrations have included: academic approaches of drawing (including works by Da Vinci); the science of art; and, step-by-step processes for Vermeer’s ‘Girl with the pearl earring’ and Arthur Streeton’s landscapes. Following demonstration, students are encouraged to experiment with new techniques and/or continue with personal projects. During this time, each student receives one-on-one attention, to improve their artistic pursuits and uncover hidden talents!
Development classes are designed to assist students with personal projects. Smaller spontaneous demonstrations incorporated into class time.
